The impact of COVID-19 reaches far beyond those diagnosed and receiving care at a health-care facility.

Stress, anxiety, fear, sadness, grief, anger, and uncertainty are just a few reactions many people experience. Couple that with social distancing, isolation, quarantine, information overload, rumors, and misinformation… even the healthiest individuals can feel overwhelmed.

The stigma around mental health is already a barrier to care, but during COVID-19, those needing mental-health services are that much more apprehensive about seeking the care that they need. By delaying important and much-needed care, the effects of the COVID-19 crisis will only be compounded.

Christian Health Care Center’s full continuum of behavioral-health services and specially trained mental-health professionals can help individuals, families, adolescents, seniors, and developmentally disabled individuals struggling with effects related to COVID-19.

Telehealth counseling is available through Christian Health Care Counseling Center and the Ramapo Ridge Partial-hospitalization Program.

  • Christian Health Care Counseling Center provides outpatient therapy for a wide range of mental-health issues experienced by people of all ages. CHCCC includes the Center of Excellence for Behavioral-health Services for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Ramapo Ridge Partial-hospitalization Program is a voluntary, short-term daily full– or half-day outpatient program for adults which serves as a preventive step to inpatient treatment or as a component of care following inpatient treatment.

Nationally recognized inpatient treatment is provided at Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital (RRPH), a full-service, 58-bed inpatient hospital for adult and geriatric patients. An individual recovery plan is prepared for each patient by an interdisciplinary team. RRPH is the only hospital in New Jersey and one of three in the nation to earn Disease-specific Care Certification in the Management of Dementia from The Joint Commission.
