CHCC continues to support our acute-care partners to meet the community’s urgent health-care needs. Heritage Manor has begun accepting a limited number of admissions from local acute-care hospitals. They are accounted for in the data above. These new patients move into an established unit used to cohort individuals being treated for and/or recovering from the virus. We are extremely pleased to share that a number of these new admissions have recovered and already been discharged home.
CHCC employs close to 900 team members across our many programs, services, residences, and supporting areas. 17 CHCC team members are currently COVID-19 positive and remain home in isolation or under the care of their physicians.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, Gov. Phil Murphy issued an executive directive requiring all residents and staff at the state’s long-term care facilities be tested for COVID-19 by Tuesday, May 26. This directive was passed to limit exposure to and reduce the spread of COVID-19, and ensure safe operations. CHCC immediately complied with the directive.
CHCC continues to take every precaution to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard everyone on our campuses. We continuing to adhere to all regulations, including cohorting residents/patients with the virus, exercising isolation protocols, responsible deployment of CHCC team members, and frequent communication and education about safety and infection control.
We value transparency and will continue to update this site, communicate directly to family members, and make ourselves available to answer questions families may have about their loved ones in our care. We humbly ask you to keep our community and fellow healthcare providers in your prayers.
*under investigation denotes individuals exhibiting symptoms for which they are being vigilantly monitored but may not be required to be tested for COVID-19. Those under investigation are being cared for utilizing precautionary measures to mitigate exposure risk to other patients/residents, and CHCC team members.
