WYCKOFF, NJ … Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff will hold its Third Annual Beefsteak at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015, at The Brownstone in Paterson. Proceeds from the fundraising event will support the Center’s 2015 Annual Fund. The football-themed evening will feature special guest speaker Nathan Sassaman, Lt. Col. (Ret.), West Point Graduate, and former star quarterback. He carried Army to its first bowl victory, and was a courageous warrior who earned a Bronze Star for valor. He commanded the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment in Iraq from 2003 to 2004.
“We are very excited to have such an impressive guest speaker at our event,” said David Krentel, Foundation Executive Director. “I’m sure that his presentation will be awe inspiring and memorable.”
Previous guest speakers have included George McGovern, Chapel Coordinator for the NY Giants and NY Yankees, and Kevin Boothe, NY Giants starting guard, as well as Gian Paul Gonzalez, a New Jersey high school teacher, former Montclair State University All-American basketball player, and founder of the Christian basketball organization 4-One.
Attendees are encouraged to wear jerseys from their favorite team. In addition, back by popular demand, there will be a silent auction again this year. CHCC is seeking donations of gift baskets for its silent auction. Themed baskets and items for baskets can be donated by individuals, families, and CHCC employees. Donors are encouraged to either purchase items for themed baskets or put together unused treasures at home that could be donated to create a unique basket. Last year’s baskets included a home- accessories potpourri, baking theme, scarves/accessories, Italian basket, pet supplies, college dorm basket, workout theme, and cosmetic basket. Donors are encouraged to get creative and use their imagination! Call or email Darcy Bickert, Foundation Assistant Director, at (201) 848- 5796 or email email@example.com to purchase tickets or for further questions/suggestions/instructions on how to complete a basket. Corporate sponsorships are still available!
