Elmwood Park resident Albert Kodom, RN, Heritage Manor Nursing Home at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff, was recently honored as a CHCC Legend Quarterly All Star. Staff of CHCC nominate co-workers as Legends as part of the Center’s service-excellence initiative. A Legend is someone who exemplifies the mission and vision of CHCC in an outstanding and easily recognizable manner, who contributes exemplary service for the benefit of those served at CHCC and beyond, or who demonstrates behavior above and beyond expectations. Mr. Kodom was nominated by Michael Abbey, RN, Heritage Manor Nursing Home/Southgate Evening Nursing Supervisor.
“Albert is well-known by the residents and their families because of the unique compassion he manifests,” said Mr. Abbey. “He has been commended by several family members over the years due to his positive and caring demeanor. He is also very well-versed in the nursing field, allowing him to be a teacher and role model to new nurses.”
Mr. Kodom goes above and beyond to ensure that patients entrusted to him receive excellent nursing care. He demonstrates hard work and professionalism to his peers, and is unconditionally devoted to and considerate of the residents. He always has a smile on his face and is genuinely interested in helping others in a consistently skillful manner. He remains calm and professional, even in very difficult situations. He exemplifies dependability and enthusiasm and, as a result, his peers hold him in the highest regard.
