Summer Hill now a CHCC community!

Summer Hill in Wayne is now a CHCC community!

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) has added even more independent-senior living options to its extensive array of services with the addition of Summer Hill apartments in Wayne. CHCC acquired the 164-unit affordable senior-housing complex in the spring.

Summer Hill meets the needs of independent adults 55 and older on fixed incomes by offering 140 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom affordable apartments. The complex provides a welcoming, attractive, and secure environment.

Summer Hill’s units are within two separate, adjacent buildings. Individual apartments feature a full kitchen, full bath, living room with a picture window, dining areas, and walk-in closets. Heating and air conditioning are individually controlled. Residents are allowed a small dog or cat. Common areas include a community room, adjacent commercial kitchen, office space, meeting space, physician examination/consultation rooms, and several activity rooms.

“We welcome Summer Hill as a Christian Health Care Center community, and look forward to supporting the residents as it continues to be their home,” says Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, CHCC President and CEO. “Summer Hill is a wonderful residence that offers a tremendous quality of life. This addition to our senior-life residences will greatly expand CHCC’s ability to offer more affordable living options.”

Summer Hill joins CHCC’s other independent-senior residences: Siena Village, also in Wayne, and Evergreen Court in Wyckoff. Additional senior-life residences and services include:

  • Hillcrest Residence supportive senior housing,
  • Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne and Wyckoff,
  • The Longview Assisted Living Residence,
  • Heritage Manor Nursing Home, and
  • Southgate behavior-management unit.

“Christian Health Care Center’s impact in Siena Village has been wonderful for the residents and the township. We welcome their growth in Wayne with the addition of Summer Hill to their senior-living residences,” said Christopher P. Vergano, Wayne Township Mayor.
