The Longview Assisted Living Residence and Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital, both at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC), recently received recognition by national organizations.
Longview was awarded Advanced Standing status for the second year in a row. Advanced Standing is governed and granted by a collaboration of the Health Care Association of New Jersey and the New Jersey Department of Health. The program, which is open to all licensed assisted-living residences and comprehensive personal-care homes in New Jersey, is intended to survey assisted-living facilities beyond whether it meets minimum state-licensure standards.
Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital (RRPH) once again received accreditation by The Joint Commission. An independent, not-for-profit organization founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. The Joint Commission also recognized RRPH as a Top Performer in Key Quality Measures in Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization. RRPH received notification in 2013 that it was honored for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for inpatient psychiatric services. In New Jersey, RRPH was one of only 26 recipient organizations of this recognition.
