About Christian Health Care Counseling Center
Many issues and conditions may create stress in the course of daily life. Christian Health Care Counseling Center can help clients learn coping skills needed to continue to function in all areas in the community, work, school, relationships, church, etc. A wide range of programs that lends itself to outpatient care is addressed through private and family therapy sessions, support groups, and educational-resource materials. Professional counselors and physicians assess and treat individuals with a variety of problems, including, but not limited to:
- depression (including bipolar disorder),
- anxiety,
- serious mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia),
- grief therapy,
- sexual abuse,
- marital issues,
- addictive behaviors,
- identity issues,
- child therapy,
- adolescent counseling,
- family counseling,
- geriatric counseling,
- parenting issues,
- self-image issues,
- destructive relational issues,
- psychological testing, and
- medication evaluations.
Treatment at the counseling centers may involve working on personal issues, goals, and problem-solving strategies on a one-to-one basis with a counselor. When appropriate, other family members may also be involved. For some individuals, treatment requires medication to alleviate intense and disruptive symptoms that can interfere with daily life.
