Spring Clergy Day
The Church Relations Ministry of
Christian Health Care Center is
holding a Spring Clery Day for area
clergy. The The theme of the program
is “Contemplation and Mission: Finding
the Hermit in All of Us” and will be
presented by the Most Rev. John W.
Flesey, STD, DD, Pastor, Most Blessed
Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes,
and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese
in Newark. He will lead an optional
small-group gathering from 1 to 2:30
p.m. following the luncheon. His topic
will be “Slipping Through the Cracks:
Future Topics and Present Day
Concerns for Clergy.” A continental
breakfast and hot buffet luncheon will

Community Computer Course: "Introduction to Word" (Part I)
Christian Health Care Center in
Wyckoff is offering a two-day computer
course open to the
community. “Introduction to Word” is
being offered from 9 a.m. to noon
Thursday, June 5 (Part I), and 9 a.m. to
noon Friday, June 6 (Part II), at the
Center’s campus, located at 301
Sicomac Ave. in Wyckoff. Follow signs
for Building 1, second floor Computer
Lab. Class size is limited, and
participants need to pre-register two
weeks prior to course date. The course
fee is $100 and includes hands-on
training and training materials. For

Christian Health Care Center 19th Annual Golf Classic
There will be shotgun starts beginning
promptly at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The
registration fee is $250, which
includes
greens fees, continental breakfast, golf
cart, putting contest, 10th tee
barbecue,
golf balls and tees, hole-in-one cars,
awards dinner, golf gift, and door

event will support the Center’s 2008
Annual Fund. Monies raised will
enable
the Center to renovate a wing in
Heritage Manor West Nursing Home in
order to accommodate a Post-acute
Care Unit. The unit was developed in
response to the ever-changing needs
of the community. A professional
rehabilitation staff works with
individuals requiring concentrated
physical, occupational, and speech
therapy following surgery or as a result
of acute or other serious medical
condition. Addressing a broad
spectrum of needs, the program aims
to improve function so that individuals
can return home. Atlantic Stewardship
Bank is once again generously
supporting the event as the Corporate
Sponsor. A volunteer Golf Committee
organizes the annual outing. This year
the committee is co-chaired by Rick
De
Bel and Edward Nieuwenhuis Jr.,
DPM;
John Browne; Bernard Joustra;
Anthony
Monterisi; Gordon Stanley; Betty
Vander
Plaat; Darcy Bickert, and David Krentel
also serve on the committee. The

Christian Health Care Center Fourth Annual Harvestfest
The Christian Health Care Center
Foundation will hold its fourth annual
Harvestfest at 6:30 p.m. Thursday,
October 16, at McBride Field on
Franklin Lakes Road in Franklin Lakes.
The cost per person is $150. The
evening’s activities will feature German
cuisine and culture with a fall harvest
décor. The event is once again being
generously sponsored by Market
Basket. Proceeds will benefit the
renovation of a wing in Heritage Manor
West to accommodate a Post-acute
